Midfielder Anthony Hunter, who has played the last two years for the Varsity Soccer team, was selected as a player for his national team of Bermuda to represent his country in a big tournament for the under 20-year-old players in January. Anthony, known as “Hunty,” has been playing for Bermuda’s national team since he was 14 years old.
Anthony said in a recent interview that Bermuda’s national team has a good team this year. Prior to heading off campus to the tournament from Jan. 15-22, Anthony was looking forward to what the team could accomplish.
“The team is looking very strong, comparative with all the other years, we have me from South Kent, a couple players from Macon, Detroit…” he said. The team has other players playing on college teams and in England.
Bermuda’s national team had hoped to play against big teams like Mexico, USA and El Salvador. Anthony believed his fellow Bermuda players were ready to play against these teams.
SKS Head Coach Owen Finberg said in a recent interview that Anthony has the skill level to play in the under 20 tournament for the national team of Bermuda. The coach said the tournament could help Anthony get more experience to eventually play for the full national team of Bermuda.
“Anthony Hunter is a good player. He has a lot of natural ability,” Coach Finberg said. “Athletically, he is very high level player, (with) great speed, good physic, and strength.”
The U-20 Bermuda team did not advance in the tournament and Anthony is now back on campus.

I think this is the way to recognize the effort and good team work the school is doing to integrate the players. Very good work because the coach opinion is very important and the player shows to be focused and very heard on track for future.
i love it
